It can be seen from above that confirmed prevalence of Acute Illness is higher in Rural Bihar (around 13% for males and 14% for females) than in Urban Bihar (around 9.7% for males and 10.8% for females). In both the areas, females are more acute ill than males.  Seeking of regular treatment is marginally higher in rural areas than urban.  Males are more for regular treatment than females.  But Government Sources are marginally popular in rural than urban areas. It is very clear that people irrespective of their place of residence are more for treatment of acute illness from private sources than from public facilities.  Only 7% of urban persons utilize the Government facilities, whereas 11% of rural persons use Government facilities.  Thus Government needs to strengthen the health care system in entire Bihar so that public may have to spend less from their pocket on health care.
