It can be seen from above that confirmed prevalence of Acute Illness is higher in Rural Assam (around 11.2% for males and 12.2% for females) than in Urban Assam (around 8.4% for males and 9.6% for females). In both the areas, females are more acute ill than males.  Seeking of regular treatment is marginally higher in urban areas than rural.  Urban males are little more for regular treatment comparatively.  But Government Sources are not popular in Urban than rural areas.  Probably, private facilities may be better equipped as compared to Government set up in urban areas and the availability of Government facilities may be better in rural areas as compared to the private sector clinics and affordability problem may be the second best reason for rural Assam for depending more on Government Sources.
