One may note that the following could be the inferences from the data.

Ø  There is significant decrease in vacant number of houses as the reduction is from over six percent to not even half a percent.  The reduction is significant in both the urban and rural houses.
Ø  There is significant increase in residential houses as the increase is from over 72 percent to over 77 percent.  The increase is significant in both the urban and rural houses.
Ø  Number of college/school buildings, hospital/ Dispensary buildings, worship houses and Hotel, Lodge & Guest houses are in the same proportion in 2011 as in the 2001 census.
Ø  Mix use of residences is on the decrease in India.
Shops & Offices and Other non residential houses are having little better proportion, whereas the houses being occupied by factories & workshops are having little low proportions comparatively.
