One of the Heaviest Decline in MMR as seen through AHS in case of Odisha State of India

According to Annual Health Survey, Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) in Odisha state, which stood at 237 per lakh of live births in year 2010-11, declined to 277 per lakh of live births in year 2011-12 i.e. by 40 points.  The same was 303 as seen through SRS in the years 2004-06.

The same may be a result of very effective implementation of the Central Scheme of Janani Suraksha Yojana etc.
