The latest data available
for four southern states of India is given in the following table. On this basis the numbers of female babies
which are estimated to have been killed in their mother’s womb before taking
birth in the year 2011 have been calculated as below:

One may see that such
killings are going without much problems to their parents. Even in God’s own country (Kerala State),
about over 8500 such killings might have been there, but this is minimum seen
among all the major states of India.
In these four southern states
combined the population got reduced due to this killings/abortions by around
150 thousand and the same is over eleven percent in the total such reduction in
whole of India as it has been estimated in case of whole India as about 1.33
millions.
