It can be seen that prevalence of Chronic Illness is much higher in Urban Jharkhand (around 5.2% for males and 6% for females) than in Rural Jharkhand (around 3.8% for males and 4.1% for females). In urban Jharkhand, most prevalent chronic disease is Hypertension followed by Diabetes and the least prevalent chronic disease is TB.  In rural Jharkhand, most prevalent chronic disease is Arthritis and the least prevalent chronic disease is Diabetes.
Both rural and urban females are more chronic ill than males.  In the State, prevalence of arthritis is more in both the rural and urban areas with females.  Asthma is little more prevalent chronic disease in urban areas than in the rural areas.
Males in both areas are more prone to be Diabetics than females, whereas females are more hypertensive than males in both rural as well as in urban parts of the state.
Tuberculosis is affecting more males than females in both the areas.
Males are more down with Asthma than females in rural areas, whereas the opposite is in urban areas.
